Test. Repair.
Clear the line.

Backflow work is the core. Because TJ Backflow is run by a licensed drinking water and wastewater operator, not a plumber, the list also covers the clearance work contractors need on new lines and the compliance help small systems need before FDEP asks.

What we do

Backflow Testing

Annual certified testing of your backflow preventer, with the test report filed with your water utility so the notice stops coming.

  • Certified test with a calibrated gauge kit
  • Report filed with your water utility
  • Failed device? Repair quoted on the spot

Backflow Repair

Failed the test? Rebuilt check valves, relief valves and seats, then retested and refiled so you are back in compliance on one visit where possible.

  • Rebuild kits for common DC, RPZ and PVB assemblies
  • Retest and refile included with the repair
  • Straight answer when replacement makes more sense

Commercial Backflow Testing

Multi-device properties — restaurants, HOAs, shopping centers, medical offices — tested on one schedule, with every report filed and a copy for your records.

  • Every device on the property tested in one visit
  • Reports filed per device, copies sent to you
  • Annual reminders so nothing lapses

Line Chlorination

Disinfection of new or repaired water mains and service lines to AWWA C651 so the line can be sampled, cleared and put into service.

  • Chlorination to AWWA C651
  • Flushing and dechlorination of discharge
  • Coordinated with bac-T sampling and clearance

Bacteriological Sampling Clearance

Bac-T sampling on new mains, repaired lines and wells, with samples collected correctly and results delivered to whoever is holding the clearance.

  • Samples collected per FDEP and utility requirements
  • Chain of custody to a certified lab
  • Results delivered to the utility, engineer or FDEP

Water & Wastewater Consultation

Licensed operator help for small water and wastewater systems — compliance questions, sampling, reporting, and a second set of eyes before FDEP asks.

  • Licensed DW and WW operator (Florida)
  • Compliance, sampling and reporting questions
  • Plain-English answers, not a retainer pitch
